Which training
courses would you like to have access to as a teacher? Why?
Which is, in your
opinion, the best way to share good
practice amongst teaching professionals? Why?
During our
university studies our teachers insist on the importance of, not just the
college-educated but, that as future
teachers must be in constant training.
However, when we
have just the University training opportunities offered do not always conform
to what we believe is necessary to grow professionally.
Nowadays it cost
much more to motivate students in the classroom, family problems directly
affect school and many professionals are not trained to deal with these
problems.
In my opinion, I
think that teachers should have access to more training courses on new
methodologies of work and alternative therapies. I think that the
"traditional" school needs a change and that depends directly on the
teachers who work every day in classrooms.
There are many
teaching professionals that live in their comfort zone and are not able to
discover new teaching methods to improve their work. These training courses ,I
believe, that should come directly out of schools and teachers could have such
training practically for free.
On the other hand,
I think that teachers have little space to share knowledge and are limited to
follow the textbook, plan individually without teamwork. I think that the teamwork
in the school is very important to move forward both personally and professionally.
Students need
concerning adults in their homes, firm and stable, that takes decisions at the
same time and consistent with the level of education. At school we must do the
same, investigate, grow and meet, share and learn from each other, because as
teachers we also learn even from our own students.
From my point of
view, is from the management teams should encourage and promote the constant
training of teachers in all types of training courses to facilitate the better
operation of the Centre, as well as open spaces for reflection that as
professionals we have voice to share our knowledge and experiences.
